Campgaw Mountain Campground Trail is a 3.2 mile loop trail located near Mahwah, New Jersey and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and camping and is best used from April until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
The trail is clearly marked and enjoyable. I only met one other person today but maybe because it was raining and the snow started turning into slush. At one point the trail goes behind the top of the ski slope and it was nice to watch people skiing for a while.
Beautiful well marked trails. A bit muddy at a few places due to rains. It was fun to watch the disc golfers.
Easy trail. The only people we saw were walking their dogs. Follow the red blazes.
Pleasant easy hike. Great for young hiking enthusiasts. Nice warm up hike.
There is probably only one hike I’d ever rate as not terrific. This one isn’t it, I love all the places from easy to hard. I prefer wildlife or challenging hikes the best. This one is easy and fun. The view at the lifts is beautiful and it’s fun to see the disc golf players. I have to try it.
