Still had a bit of snow and ice, but mostly navigable mud :) mostly well marked, pretty quiet, potentially challenging parking situation.

The It was nice. Some trails have been walked on so it’s a little easier walking thru the snow but other trails are lightly traveled so walking thru the snow was a workout. But it’s peaceful calm serene so worth the effort.

HikingGreat!

Definitely was an easier hike. I thought this was a great one to bring my little kids. The views were gorgeous. I’ve heard it’s more crowded on weekends, but the weekday mornings are perfection!

Loved it here! Very rocky and more undeveloped trails than some surrounding local parks! That is a positive for me, but not everyone would agree. There is an awesome swimming area just off the road (almost no hike) but if you trek just a extra mile or two down stream you’ll be amazed with your own private swimming spots! Water was clean and in movement. BUGS GALORE!! (Bring big spray, it’s a must).

Worthwhile 3 mile hike. The falls and swimming hole are a great midway reward. More of a moderate hike when starting from Indian Brook Park. White-Yellow to Falls and Blue-Red-Yellow-White back to keep it interesting. Terrain is muddy, rocky and rooty. Not ideal for younger children or elderly adults.

This is a very good trail .. very short and a relatively flat walk to the falls .. the falls by itself isn’t very big but it’s good for kids and pets to enjoy.. be careful of the rocks and the overgrown trees.. my dog had lots of fun in the water!

Nice loop trail with other connected trails. The falls are pretty but the litter is pretty disgusting. Lots of food wrappers, bottles and beer caps. Saw some kids and their moms splashing in the pool below the falls. Not sure if you are allowed to do that. Pretty scenic otherwise.

Nice trail but wasn’t marked as well as it could’ve when it came to looking for the falls. Finally found the falls after about 30 minutes of trying to figure out our bearings. Nice swimming hole with some small falls. Had lunch and enjoyed wading in the water. Overall, good experience.

Hiking

Nice well-marked trail that follows a creek. The “waterfall” is more of just a drop in the river that goes into a small pool, but still beautiful. Hardly any elevation so more of just a walk. There is a small parking lot at the trailhead with a sign that says there’s more parking off of Ironia Rd. We also extended our hike past the indicated route onto the yellow trail and around East to the trail that connects to Calais Rd. This part was extremely muddy/swampy with no way around it. But once we connected back to the indicated route it was fine. The Frog Pond is located where the Blue trail T’s to head back to the trailhead. We did indeed see a frog.
