We started at mile marker 0 and walked to around 2. We didn't see any of the foot bridges we saw online and def not the castle we saw on Bring Fido... to be fair it is a 6.6 mile trail, but it would be great to know where the "sites" are. People were friendly. Not empty, but not high traffic and some turn offs. More of a walk than a hike for sure. No climbing, but its jersey shore so to be expected.

Safe long trail. Brought my 8 yr old daughter and her bicycle. We did about 1/3 of the trail before we turned around and headed back.

I went to see the trestle which was part of the Toms' River Railroad. Beautiful scenery with boardwalks occasionally appearing to help hikers over the streams.

Very nice trail for walking, biking and running. When the trail is completed it will stretch from Barnegat to Toms River a total of 15 miles. Love bike riding here with my husband. Highly recommended.
