Great trail. Secluded especially early in the morning and nicely shaded. Not too much elevation. Easy hike. My dog came out with about 6 ticks though and some of the offshoots of the trail can be misleading.

Starts out on white trail to red trail to blue (that looks more like teal) trail to a little piece of yellow trail back to red then white. We did not take the option over to Bald Head and it took about 2 hours. We saw no one on the trail. We also did not see any of the trash that others referenced in their review. This is another hike where you feel miles out in the woods at the peepest section. A bit buggy with some marshy areas. A couple of sketchy areas where it is unclear which path to take. Very small parking lot. Would come back again to do the Bald Head trail. All and all a nice little hike!

This was a nice, well marked and relatively easy hike. The highlight is toward the middle on red where it meets with pink. You find yourself in a very cool rocky canyon of sorts. This was my first use of the paid app and I was not so thrilled. The app does not match the hike in many spots and you end up “off trail” when you are following very clear blazes. We found our picture of the trail map at the trail head more reassuring than the app. The tracking was helpful though. I am accustomed to turn by turn descriptions and highlights and the app didn’t even provide blaze colors. Will try again. Perhaps there is user error. (But I don’t think so).

The parking area (if you can call it that) is very small and can fit maybe 6 small cars max. before you start blocking people in. The trail is lightly-trafficked and I only passed 1 group (I went on a beautiful Sunday) The hike itself is pretty uneventful and the main "view" from Bald Hill is not great; it is pretty overgrown and obstructed. There is a private residence right off the trail and I was unsure of where the property line was and didn't want to trespass. There is a lot of illegal dumping of furniture where the trails come close to these residences. However, I really enjoyed walking through the forests, especially towards the beginning of the hike. The trails in the beginning are pretty nice, well-maintained, and there is evidence of restoration work going on. Fall foliage is beautiful right now! The trail is sufficiently blazed. I lost the blazes/trail a couple of times, but I had the GPS map open so I was fine. There is a color-coded map with all the trails at the entrance; it seems like some trails (as of October 2019) are still in development and blocked off, but it didn't impact this specific route. There are other trails in the system so you can increase or decrease the overall distance by adding/subtracting segments.

Took my Trek Marlin 4 mountain bike. Had some nice smooth parts but some sections where I had to get off cuz my shocks wouldn't handle it. had to climb over some branches and trunks. couldn't complete it because was getting dark. Not sure if the trail is meant for MB

The trails are for the most part unmarked. The major part of the trail was closed off so be aware. II would only recommend to adventurous type who do not mind going off the beaten trail. We did see an old washer, car door & tires in the forest. Very sad. Parts are gravely & so easy to walk other parts are rocky & slightly hilly. There are trails that have wildflowers with butterflies. Overall I wish it was better marked.

Nice walk. 2 hours. Was very buggy and somewhat wet in the lower sections, even in May. Very quiet with a little wildlife. The out and back for the peak was worth it and probably the best spot to stop for some lunch. Only room for a few cars at the trail head as not a real parking lot.

great hike close to my house. I was surprised how nice this was. overall flat hike with a steady ascent into the hills. there are a few different blaze colors so navigating direction with a map and compass was necessary for me to be sure I wasn't back tracking on a different route. waterproof boots are a must as parts are currently ankle deep in mud.

Nice trail, well kept and well marked in some places. The red trail is closed but theres a new one that isn’t as well marked to replace it.

Great walk in the woods. A few steep inclines but not long. Trails are well marked. We didn’t see one single person on the entire loop!
