Very easy and flat trail. Perfect for doggos. Gets a little muddy toward Stinky Pond.

Awesome trail. It was dry and pretty well marked with pink blaze. Ran into some people but otherwise not very busy. Only wish that the fire tower at the end was open.

Great trail - a little confusing as to where the trail actually starts based on directions given by AllTrails but once you're on the trail, great views of the marsh area and lovely walk through the groves. Sad the Fire Tower wasn't open as the view was probably amazing.

Very nice easy trail. Lots of variety. Don't park at the memorial, park at Batona camp.

Snow not too deep. Pretty flat and beautiful with the snow today.

Well marked, easy trail that is mostly flat. It’s also very quiet and peaceful. We were the only ones on the trail.

This is a nice and easy 9 mile hike. Probably one of the most quiet areas you'll ever experience. Only "bad' thing was that we kept walking into spider webs in the trail path, but luckily I brought my walking stick, so I was able to clear them nicely to the side. Definitely would recommend this hike if you're looking for a long scenic walk in through the woods. Also, watch out for horse poop!

HikingGreat!

I had a great hike at Apple Pie Hill Fire tower . It was over 9 miles because I parked my car at wrong location it’s fine at least I got to see Carranza Memorial Monuments,Batona. Camping site ,it was very sandy, little too sunny . It wasn’t crowded it was only me and couple trail runners. Well marked trails. I followed the pink trail mark . I made it up to Fire Tower I wasn’t lucky enough to go up . It is closed. It was enjoyable pine trees, birds and nature .
