We did this trail beginning at the 19 Mile Brook trailhead and across each of the Wildcat peaks. The conditions were wet due to some heavy rain the night before, so what seemed likely to be a moderate hike turned into a more difficult one, especially on the downside of Wildcat E. Also we did not attempt to cross the Ellis River near the end of the loop and hiked back on the Lonesome Pond trail to Pinkham Notch. There are a few very notable viewpoints along the way, particularly near the summit of Wildcat down into Carter Notch above the Carter Notch AMC hut, and from the Ski area platform directly across from the Presidential ridge. Be prepared for this hike to take much longer than expected if conditions are wet.
