A very popular steep scramble up a very nice peak in Southern New Hampshire with great views from its bald summit. Mt Monadnock is reputed to be one of the most hiked mountains in the world with over 125,000 people climbing it every year. The trails are very steep in places and rocky. It can easily be done in a half day. Older kids will have a ton of fun rock hopping their way to the summit on the steep trail. This is a very popular climb just north of very populated cities so you probably won't be alone on the trail. $5 parking

A gorgeous hike full of never ending scrambles. Took about 4 hours to complete with enough time to stop for a brief picnic and take breaks for my jelly legs.

super super tough for a beginner, the scrabbling was crazy the whole top of the mountain is rock BUT the views were incredible. This took us about 6 hours we went up white dot and down white cross, stopped a bunch but so worth it!

Nice hike. It’s fun because it’s different than the ordinary trail. I like how you kinda feel like your rock climbing.

A solid hike with really amazing views at the top. The foliage on the way up was beautiful too.

It was so beautiful! A little windy and cold at the top, but the view was breathe taking! The weather was perfect too!

Excellent hike with a great, albeit small, view of Boston!

We (husband with toddler in carrier and me with baby in carrier) did the white dot trail up. it was with the carriers very hard to do, but a really amazing climb! the views at the top rewards the climb and effort. really a must do!
