A bit confusing because there was a sign that said no walking after the bridge. We did this in late December, so it may be used for snowmobiling in the winter. It has a lovely forest tunnel the last part (if you go clockwise) and overall we all felt it was pretty easy to manage. A bit slippery and definitely want waterproof boots this time of year.

Easy relatively flat trail would be good for trail running or easy hiking. Not many people on the trails.

Walking

Pretty, lovely woods, and running water views. Easy walk, mostly flat with a wide trail and very few people. Agree that the loop is not clearly marked, for 2 mile loops make all immediate turns- lots of other trails attach so can be confusing.

Great trail with view of the falls. We made the loop a bit longer by taking the connector trails. We also took a side trial to take a peek at the mash.

Walking

The start of this trail has some very stunning falls and rock formations. After that the trail is nice and wide and flat much of the way. Went clockwise and enjoyed that route. My only complaint is that there was no marker at the junctions telling you where to turn to stay within this loop. You need to take two rights at the only forks (or two lefts if going counterclockwise). The “tunnel” path feels like a fairy wonderland and there is even a slight view of the nearby mountains.

Beginning of the trail head is beautiful at the river, never saw anyone else on the loop. Pretty, but mostly just woods, limited views. Wish we had brought bathing suits for a quick swim after

You want to pay attention to the trail markets; there are several offshoots. It's also very biggy. Bring the big spray!

Easy level trail. Nice for a little exercise before a swim in upper falls. The trailhead parking is at Upper Ammonoosic falls.
