South Uncanoonuc via Summit Trail and Walker Trail is a 2.3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Goffstown, New Hampshire that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and running and is best used from April until November.
Awesome walk in the woods that takes you up a mountain! The view at the summit is beautiful but easy to miss, take a left on the way down Incline trail to get there. This is a short route but pretty much an incline all the way to the summit, so it might be on the harder side of easy.
Spring hike, lots of ice and mud but will come back in better weather. Views of city
Meant to do North but ended up on South via link trail to summit trail. Came back incline trail, walker, back to summit and link. Gald we took walker because that's where the views are. Nice hike with enough incline for a decent workout.
We hiked the Summit Trail on a beautiful, nice 70 degree fall day. A moderate trail but with lots of dry but slippery leaves. Good views to the south and east.
As a beginner, this is not easy lol. I would say moderate. Finding ‘the view’ from the top is quite difficult. Once you hit the road it’s basically just a bunch of people walking in circles trying to find ‘the view to see Boston’. Took the summit trail up and had to go down the incline trail about a tenth of a mile to find walker trail to see the view of Manchester. There’s nothing to look at at the summit. Would probably go back because this was a WORK OUT for me so it would be something I’d do again but just to help build stamina. The work was not worth the reward here lol. Other than that, ran into a bunch of friendly people. The trail was much rockier than I had anticipated.
More moderate than easy- summit view is easy to miss- take left on the way down incline trail
Nice views for a relatively short trail. Summit and Walker trails are well marked, had to use the map to find the view trail but definitely worth it!
Well let me start off by saying I’m a 57 year old female couch potato and this was by no means easy for me. My friend and I did it in 1 hour up but I seriously must have stopped 10 times on the way up to catch my breath. It did take us an hour to get down as we got off the beaten path. We came back the way we came in, the Summit trail. The trees are spray painted purple and red to help you. We got off the trail somehow and had to climb back up, lucky me. Didn’t stop on the way down at all. My knees are sore and I can’t wait to see how I feel tomorrow, lol. But I’ve decided I’m going to build up my endurance by climbing this trail more! Good luck!
Great to reach the peak and see all the cell towers. Coming down incline Trail was a challenge. in the past we've gone up and down the summit Trail next time that's what we will do.
Pretty much an incline all the way to the "summit" ... definitely on the harder side of "easy". May be considered easy because it is a short trek.. but if you are a beginner with no cardio in your life, this will get your heart pumping. Not much of a summit view. I took the incline trail down by accident? My knees hurt, lol.
