This was a tough rocky climb! Bring lots of water and just keep going. You may want to do a carspot so you don’t have to turn around at north moat. Bugs were bad at the top of each.

I did this trail from south to north. I’ve done south moat in the summer and winter so no big deal. Peak bagged middle Moat easily. After that, you descend quite a ways and have to climb all the way back up to nab North Moat. North Moat had lots of mosquitoes and black flies so a Head net was a must at the beginning of June. North Moat is a steep descent to get back down to the car. Some suggest going north to south to put the easiest part of this hike at the end of the day. One good thing about going in reverse is soaking your feet in Diana’s Baths at the end of the hike. My gps read 9.7 miles end to end:)

Great views from all peaks especially North Moat. Traversed North, middle South in about 6 1/2 hours. Lots of bugs especially on the North side. If you are planning on parking a car in Diana’s Bath get there EARLY or get dropped off. Summer season has that lot packed and they are very strict on parking now. Beautiful trail well worth it!

Point to Point from Diana’s Bath - North Moat - Middle Moat - South Moat and down to the south trailhead, approx 9.3 miles. Great hike, only one caution - we hiked in fresh snow with a deep base. There were periods with scant trail markings. I had map and compass but did rely on GPS to rejoin trail after summiting and a few other spots. Bluebird day and totally worth it!
