Smarts Mountain and Mount Cube via Appalachian Trail is a 11.1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Orford, New Hampshire that features a river and is rated as difficult. Gorgeous! in and out. if you don't go to mt cube, it's a perfect day hike. not too strenuous, but not easy either. one of my faves. not many people. not a lot of exposure to sun so pretty and not too windy nor sunny.
