Scenic Waterfall, short easy hike for all ages Lovely small waterfall just 1/2 mile from the Kancamagus highway. A nice spot to stop for an easy refreshing hike. This hike can be make by people of all ages. There are benchs along the trail for people to rest. The trail has a mini loop around and above the falls with wooden rails. It is technically open in the summer / fall because it would be easy to slide into the river when it is icy or snowy. Use extreme caution if you visit it in the early spring or winter.

A quick stop to see something special. Bring your camera because you can get some great shots of people there!

A nice, short hike to a pretty waterfall. The snow was well packed but microspikes were helpful. Unfortunately the lookout path over the falls was closed for the winter, but you can still get a good view from the top and bottom of the falls.

We had a great time hiking the .3 miles in snow to the falls. It's a beautiful place and a short walk. The stairs were closed to view from the upper area but we still got great pictures and took home some wonderful memories.

Nice easy walk in the woods to the falls. On the way here we saw a young moose by the side of the road.

This is a very short hike. Its by the river so you would listen to the sounds of flowing river warer all along the trail. What pays off is the beautiful water fall by the end of the hike. Very pleasant and refreshing experience.

Good for an easy, short trail to a nice waterfall. Did it with a 4 and 6 year old.

More an amble than a hike (lots of kids in flipflops on the trail), the falls are beautiful both above and below, but at least on the weekend day that we went were VERY crowded.

Fantastic short hike you can squeeze into any busy day. The falls is one of the most beautiful serene settings with its blue-green waters and ethereal ledges above it. Truly one of my favorite hikes!

This is a nice easy nature trail, great for families of any age. And a super pretty waterfall for such an easy walk! Definitely would go again, I think it was even nicer because of all the rain we’ve had lately.

Never been, but want to. I’ve called the Ranger Station; now looks like it’ll be July 4th before this is open once again. Bummer as it’s a great quick destination, I’ve been told.

Visitor Center staff told me this site is under construction as they repair/replace some railings. The projected opening is June 8.

Quick walk, heavy traffic in the summer, but worth it.
