Getting There

Scenic Waterfall, short easy hike for all ages. Lovely small waterfall just 1/2 mile from the Kancamagus highway. A nice spot to stop for an easy refreshing hike. The trail has a mini loop around and above the falls with wooden rails. It is only open in the summer/fall because it would be easy to slide into the river when it is icy or snowy. Use extreme caution if you visit it in the early spring or winter, and be aware that the trail may be gated off at especially icy times. There is a $200 fine for hiking here when the trail is closed.

Saco Ranger, 33 Kancamagus Highway, Conway, NH 03818, 603-447-5448

Watch for signs on Route 112 (Kancamagus highway) between Lincoln NH and Conway NH. The trailhead is well marked "Sabbaday Falls". There is a $3.00 fee to park here and no place to make change. Trailhead is 15 miles west of the Saco Ranger Station on route 112 in Conway.

HikingFeeGreat!

For a short and easy hike it was beautiful to see this White Mountain locale. For families there is a picnic area near the river. If you park at the turnout there is a $5 fee per day which you can use at any of the National Forest Service parking areas. Or, you can park in the road for free.

It was beautiful and easy enough to do with a baby even for someone who doesn't hike regularly. We decided to follow the yellow trial after the Fall and had to stop because there's a point it crosses a stream.

Cute, short hike with some nice waterfall views close to Saco River. Trail and parking lot were VERY crowded! May be better to go on a week day to better enjoy the views

HikingGreat!

Awesome—short hike on a wise trail. Ample shade and area to stop and sit along the way (benches). Well-maintained pathway leading up along the flume to the top of the falls. Also offers a one-way through the trail, so it was good for a visit during COVID (i.e. traffic flow was all one direction). I would highly recommend this trail to anyone looking for a nice walk with family, friends, children, or pets!

We went on a Monday evening and we were there only with a few others. Beautiful easy hike for family, my two and a half year old walked it and loved it! Beautiful waterfall, nice history. Can’t swim in the water within 500 feet of falls but someone was swimming disregarding the signs.

Good bang for your buck. Neat explanation at the top of how the waterfall shifted into two parts due to the fault line. If you have a national parks pass or other intra agency pass, you do not have to pay the $5 parking fee.

Great small little trail! Any one can do this. Mostly flat, you do need to go up some stairs. You also need to pay a $5 fee for parking.

Super easy trail. Stairs to climb as well. Amazing water fall. Don’t stand on the rocks in the water I’ve personally had to help a man with a dislocated knee many years ago for slipping. 911 isn’t available to call.

I've been wanting to stop here for a while and am glad I finally got the chance. Though its not much of a hike more of a short nature walk, the falls are beautiful and features a small swimming hole with crystal clear water.

More of a short nature walk than an actual hike. Really cool waterfall though.

Short in/out walk to views. You can get very close to waterfall. Beautiful waters and rocks. Even when busy does not feel confined. Bathrooms open. Great access to waters edge; a trail follows the cascades above the falls. Would go back with a drink and book.

The bridge over the fall was closed. However the trail was great, the views are amazing and we still got to experience a real beauty and capture some great photos.

Beautiful easy trail. Visited on 4/25 and much of the trail was still packed snow and ice, parts deeper slush. The bridge over the falls was closed but excellent views if you continue on the main trail.
