Moderate rating appropriate, trail well marked and maintained. Quick steep incline. Fire tower views spectacular, signs at top level of fire tower identity mountains in the distance. Red Hill/fire tower trail up, blue trail/cabin down. 4.5 miles total. Recommend waiting for a clear day.

No views until you get to the fire tower, but once you get there it is amazing. Possibly one of the best views I have ever gotten from a hike.
At the top there is a picnic table that would make this a great picnic hike but you'll need a backpack to carry your food.

There are more trails on this track of land, with a backside trail going to Eagle Cliff over looking Squam Lake .Go left up red trail a little rocky in spots and come down blue train , old hunting cabin on trail.
