A sketchy path, but lovely falls. The trail is very short and you get to see 3 waterfalls - each with their own unique characteristics. It is a very narrow path (under 2 feet wide) and meanders along the vertical drop off to the brook. The Townline Brook ravine is deep so slipping off the trail would result in very serious injury. The first falls to be seen are Proteus Falls, then Erebus Falls and at the top; Evans Falls. Proteus is an early sea-god, one of several beings whom Homer calls the "The Old Man in the Sea" - Erebus is also greek - Erebus is used to refer to a region of the underworld where the dead had to pass immediately after dying. The falls are slightly different from each other. Proteus is a 25 foot drop, as is Erebus and Evans is a small 12 foot drop.
