Clear day, no wind and temps in the high teens. Easy to find the trailhead and parking was convenient and safe. Dressed in layers and kept warm. Great hike, wore micro spikes but yak trax would have been fine, I was preparing for ice but the trail was not too icy under the snow. Trails had about 6" fresh snow and the hike was great. Other people snow shoed and there were also ski tracks on the trail so this trail is great for many varieties of enjoyment. The views are amazing from Washington over to the Sandwich Valley. The hike was perfect mileage for a winter hike without having to drive past N. Conway.

A little over an hour up the mountain, 30 min down the mountain. Very steep going up, with some very icy spots this time of year (December). We took a few breaks on the way up. Took my 6mo black lab John, my 4yo poodle Mat, and my 11yo chihuahua Natasha.

Great trail with a nice view at the top. It’s not too steep or long, and makes for a really nice quick hike. A little longer than the 3.1 AllTrails listed, it’s a little over 4miles round trip if it’s done as a loop.

Had two labs with us, did it easy. Glad we took the route clockwise as per other reviews. Bit icy and snowy at times.

Great views from this trail. Really icy due to the snow and rain but amazing. Wouldn’t take my dogs at this time down the whole loop. But amazing.

Hiked this multiple times with multiple parties. A great "value" hike as it's short, manageable and gives a great view of the Moat Mountain range and the center of North Conway.

This is a manageable hike with well-trodden trails and rewarding views at two locations, just below peak (probably the better vista) and peak. A counter-clockwise approach to the loop takes you up the shortest and steepest route to the top - though not that steep. It is also the least traveled portion of the route. It is a popular hike and can get busy. This hike is good for dogs and kids, especially if you go clockwise to the top and then take that same trail back down.

Great hike. Brought my 6 mo old dog and my friend brought her 3.5 year old old dog. They had a blast and it wasn’t to strenuous for them. Great views from the top.

A fun hike with the dog. She's a bit older so she had trouble going down at a few parts. There was a gorgeous view at the top and a few nice trees to sit under and relax. Trail markings are decent

excellant views! nice, moderate hike. Did it with 2 kids (12 and 9 yo). The hike was well within their capabilities. Nice, wide tail. the lower part of the trail is shared with mountain biking trail, so keep a watch out in some parts for fast bikes. We didn't have any real issues, but it was heavily biked on that first .5 mile. Signage for trail is small. head from parking area straight to map. At map go left and you'll see a small wooden sign marked "trail" and that's where the Peak mtn trail starts. Mildly confusing but we figured it out. Great family hike! Trail is in great condition, no issues.

This is a nice little hike. I enjoyed the trail quite a lot and the summit offers great views of Conway and the Moats. I would probably do this again in the fall or at sunset.

Decent hike. On a Sunday in August was almost empty. Peaceful environment in the woods but no real views until the top and the first 1/3 of the descent. Very dog friendly. The trail markings could use a tune-up.

Hiked this on a late afternoon with my 5 month old puppy, and it was a great hike--moderate intensity, well-maintained, pretty views from the top. No real scrambling involved, and excellent footing on a dry day. I can see that some parts would be slippery with a recent rain. It was very buggy throughout, so bring the bug stuff.

Great hike but giving a 3 star for today because of all the bugs. Hikers beware.
