Pleasant hike on tower trail. Very gradual incline, no steep sections. Lots of rocks and roots at parts. If you go from the trailhead to the tower and back, it’s about 4 miles round trip.

Great place to explore! So many different trails to go off on- if you have the chance to go off to Winni Way, do it! It’s beautiful. Very buggy and well trafficked.

5/3/2020 Oak Hill Tower Trail: Not a hard hike at all! There were some nice inclines but totally doable and still a very rewarding, peaceful. The only good view is from the tower but still a nice hike. 6.7 Miles, We started on Tower Trail, then hit every possible trail we could find Ron’s Way, Krupa Loop, Murray Bluff/Trail, Terrys Turn, Luti Loop, and God only knows what other trail in-between.

Nice and easy hike

Great trail. Really enjoyed it. Took a chance on something local that I had never done to get out there since so many trails are closed. Very, very well marked. You cannot get lost. It had ok elevation, enough to get me breathing heavy a few times, but not enough to have to stop. Took the Dancing Bear Trail off of Tower Trail for the side trip to Swope Slope lookout. Beautiful. Such a nice peaceful walk in the woods. Saw lots of other people going up and down. All friendly, all good with social distancing. Tower at the top is very cool, my first fire tower hike. People were courteous about not spending all day at the top so people waiting could go up and enjoy it as well to keep socially distant. Buggy but it was a beautiful 60 degrees and sunny, so its expected. All in all a terrific experience that I will do again.

Great trail for beginners! I’d say this ranges on the easy side of moderate. Well maintained and little to no mud today.

Wonderful and refreshing hike. Some people out but all observed social distancing on the trail and at the fire tower. Will go back in the fall. Colors will be amazing!

Hiked with Dan. Not the most exciting hike. Gentle rolling hills. Looks like a nice place for the locals to walk dogs or trail run. Fueled by Litherman’s Limited and Checkmate Pizza.

very well marked. i went on other trails to make hike back different. i would agree its on the easier side of moderate. just the final strech up to the tower that has elevation to wind this old lady a little.

I enjoyed this hike. The first part of the hike is a very pretty trail through woods. You don’t get any views at the top of the hill unless you climb the tower to the top landing. Unless you just want to add miles to your hike, I wouldn’t recommend the additional trail suggested that goes down to Oak Hill Road, as you’re just going down and then back up a pretty boring logging road. I did the exact trail as suggested on this map and clocked 6.8 miles, not 6.0. The day I did the hike, there were no bugs.

Great trail, like a nice walk through the woods. Took a few of the side trails to lengthen the hike. View from tower non existent due to weather. Would rate it on the side of easy and highly recommend.
