Northwood Meadows State Park is a 2.6 mile out and back trail located near Northwood, New Hampshire. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking and mountain biking.
I am upset about horses on the trail. Horse poop everywhere even in the water.
A lot of horse manure though and there is a lot of dog poop at the beginning of the trail. I love that bags and trash bin is available for me to pick up my dog's poop. Usually, my girl goes potty in the woods off trail.
nice walk level ground easy for all.
I really enjoy this area..it's to bad people don't know how to read the "dogs must be on a leash " sign..it's really unfair to people who are uncomfortable with loose dogs
Nice little trail. I did the lake trail loop (from door to door about 1.7 miles).
Easy ride with random technical sections, great for building skills
The main roads are a nice walk and there are a lot of side trails to take to increase the distance and/or sights. Can get to Saddleback MTN from here. We live nearby so we're here a lot.
Nice leisurely walk around a pretty lake. Very dog friendly. A cute diner across the street from the parking area to grab a meal and a drink afterwards.
I just walked around the pond it would have been nicer if there wasn't Horse manure all over the ground and in the water other than that it's a beautiful walk
Northwood meadows in NH are amazing trails to walk
Very easy little walk in the woods with great views of the pond that the trails encompass. Very dog friendly trail; on an average day, half the people walking the trails are walking their dogs. Clean trails that aren't very well marked, yet the trails are easy enough to follow that it shouldn't be a problem. Even though the park is right next to route 4, there isn't any noise from the highway, and the trail traffic isn't too high. I'd say if you're in the area and looking for a quick, quiet, little get away, it's worth a stop.
