I did this climb on 8/12/20 Great trail definitely a challenge for a beginner like me. I did this trail last fall with a group of experienced hikers to watch the sunset I was very slow so I decided to try this again on my own the day after my birthday. It took me 2hrs to climb but I did it!! I have nicknamed myself The Turtle

Generally well maintained and well marked - good for predawn hiking. Some blowdown on Wapack and over grown ferns along Cliff. Went up quickly, came down slowly - up in an hour, down in an hour. Nice and dry, good views of the sunrise from Cliff.

well, this was my first ever hike (one year prior to this review) and I was new to this app. I didn't realize at the time that this was a mountain. I had the proper boots and bag, but wasn't mentally prepared. it wasn't until the slight scrambles that we realized it wasn't just a walk in the woods. we stuck it out and we're deeply rewarded. views are spectacular, as you'd expect. it is challenging, especially the closer you get to the top, but totally doable. I look to do this again, now that I know what I'm in for.

Very easy trail, a few blowdowns but nothing too bad. Don't stop at North peak, go to the cliff. Its worth the view and the breeze. Great family trail. Saw a few families out with small children, having a blast.

Great quick trail to the summit of north pack. With the right nighttime gear this would be an excellent sunset hike! It would also be a fun winter hike.

Great for moderate hiking. Very little mud and not many bugs. A bit of a scramble in some of the steeper areas but nothing this athletic (but overweight) 52 year old woman couldn't handle. Not as many views along the way as Ted's trail and Cliff Trail, but is shorter.

Good trail, nice and dry. Hiked slowly up with my mama, trail was moderate even at its steepest. Need bug spray, mostly in the woods so not too much sun. Few stream crossings, basically dry in this summer heat.

What a glorious trail! great markings, cairns, views, ease of walking. I love trails that aren't so eroded that I can't look up from the rocks and roots. This one is awesome in places to look up and look around. Cliff trails are a must on the top. Don't settle for the summit. keep going!

We drove to the summit of the South pack and hiked from there to the Summit of the North through cliff trail. 5.4 mile and almost 4 hours. Great view, red spruce forest and landscape like rock garden were great.
