Took this trail down after hiking Tuckerman Ravin Trail to the top of Washington and across the Alpine Gardens. We thought it would be a nice quiet low traveled route and we were right. It was a beautiful day and views were endless. Some real steep narrow sections that challenge you. Well worth the time 10.5 miles

I completed this trail in part of a loop last fall. Started at Pinkham Notch...Took Lionshead trail up Mt.Washington and down Nelson Craig-->Old Jackson Road-->Pinkham Notch. Really enjoyed the challenge of the granite scrabble...A little steep at parts, but also some nice open meandering sections...Really beautiful route in foliage season (& good weather!)
