Park at the Jefferson Notch Road parking area. Plenty of spots between the lot and the road. Start up the Caps Ridge Trail to the summit. Continue off the opposite of Mt. Jefferson on the Jefferson Loop Trail down to the Gulfside Trail (AT). Take excursion down Six Husbands Trail to short bushwack to edge of Jefferson Ravine for some fantastic views. Return to AT then right at The Cornice back to the Caps trail down. A wonderful trek!

Awesome trek. Started up Caps Trail to tree line then scrambled over a few caps on way to summit. Perfect weather, many folks already at summit. Continued down back side on the Loop trail to the edge of the Jefferson Ravine which was truly magnificent. Was careful on the bushwack but this got me right up on the edge of the Ravine with awesome views of Mt. Adams and Mt. Washington in addition to the massive ravine. Came back up to the AT then worked my way around to the Caps trail back down. A bit tricky scrambling down, in spots. A really special hike!
