Awesome but challenging hike, especially on a wet day! There is a plane crash site about a mile away from the summit. Follow the trail past the summit to the orange blazes...look carefully so you don't miss them.

Cool hike , completed the trip to the peak and down to the DC 3 Wreck. trail was in great shape with many photo ops at the AC site and the Peak.

We had a lot of fun on this trail, although steep at times with lots of rock face. Not a great trip on a wet day so wait a few days for it to dry out a bit. We took the little Outlook loop on the right which led to amazing views, don't do this hike without taking the outlook detour! Ate lunch at the summit then went in search of the DC3 plane which crashed on the mountain in 1954 which killed 2 of its' 7 passengers. We found the plane and took lots of pictures with it. Great hike!!! Highly Recommend!!!
