beautiful hike albeit a bit icy today and I didn't have spikes which I would highly recommend as did many. My dog thoroughly enjoyed it as well!

Busy day on this trail, lots of folks up on top. A bit icy in spots, spikes required. A great shorter hike with fabulous views from the super-exposed summit. The "Indian Head" profile of this granite ledge is as terrific as the Old Man was. Come check it out, best profile view from old route 3.

You can hear cars at the beginning of the trail and need to pass three tunnels in total. The trail has steady incline but not too crazy, which gives you a good winter work out without being exhausted. The view at the top is absolutely gorgeous and it is a bargain given the amount of effort to get up there. At the peak, the area where the rock is can be very windy. If you go behind the trees to the other side, the weather is much nice there (no wind).

Great trail for testing out winter gear! Beautiful in the snow, but definitely need at least microspikes!

Overcast and snow flurries. Great temperatures for hike. Great view at the top even with clouds. Quiet, relaxing walk.

Beautiful hike today! Had the summit to myself and only saw a few others on the way down. Microspikes were very helpful!

Plenty of traffic on this pleasant trail this after in late October. We did ‘ the loop’ , starting with Indian Head up and then Pemigewassett trail down, followed by a quick track down Rt3, Back to Indian head parking. I would suggest this way as Rt3 is downhill all the way. Where was my long-board when I needed it ?

Very wet & muddy right now. And crowded of course on the weekend. Beautiful views!

More elevation than we expected made for a tough, muddy hike. Great views at the top were worth it!

Short, but rough. Incline the entire way up. Completely worth the work.

Short but rough incline, but well worth the view.

Great day if a foliage hike. Leaves were coming down and covering the roots. Overall a pretty straight forward walk up the hill.

Great trail with amazing views. Steady incline but nothing too steep. Get there early. All of NE is up in The Notch this time of year.

Great hike. Great view for limited physical output.

beautiful trail, went wuth a great meetup group. views were gorgeous!

Amazing views and great hike. Definitely going to get your cardio and thigh work out but so worth the views especially in the fall. Took about 1hr to summit (less if you go faster) lots of Little Rock’s so best to wear boots.

Great hike! Not easy- a steady incline of stairs. Moderate is an accurate rating. Only took 1 hour to get up. The views are incredible! Watch your footing, a little slippery with leaves and mud. Follow the blue trail. When it forks at Indian head take a left, that’s where the view point is.

awesome hike and totally worth the work. it has an amazing view at the top. Got pretty winded the last quarter mile but worth toughing it out. For someone who doesn't hike often this trail was great!
