Overall it was a great hike! They are revamping the parking lot until 10/2, but you can get park alongside RT.11 about a 1/4 mile from the parking lot. Very dog friendly and if it’s your first time hiking, it’s not bad! Gets the blood pumping but nothing too strenuous. Beautiful views and quite windy at the top, but a very worth it hike! Hiking sneakers or hiking boots work fine. We went on a weekday just before noon and probably about 40+ cars, but surprisingly not crazy crowded on the trails.

Hike was amazing. Gorgeous views. However this is no "easy" beginner hike. moderate to intermediate.

First time ever hiking! Took my dog and threw a little pack on her. We did the blue trail up and the yellow down. Took a little over an hour total. Very easy hike with amazing views. If someone is worried about hiking, this is a great first hike. I do not do much cardio and was wearing non-hiking boots and was fine.

Great day for a hike! Start on blue trail stay left at split to climb up blue to summit. Sit at summit overlooking the lake and have lunch and return via yellow. 3 hours with a lunch break.

Go up the main trail, come down brook. Going up the granite rock faces is much better than coming down them

Great dog friendly hike! Can be very crowded though so go early to avoid crowds. Took blue trail up and yellow trail down, this took about 2 hours.

This by far one of my favorite hikes. Took the steeper blue trail up and the easier yellow trail down which makes for the perfect loop. A great moderate hike with fantastic views. Note the parking lot is closed for construction, but parking seems acceptable along rte. 11

The views are really amazing compared to the effort. the parking lot is currently closed due to renovation, but you can park on the side of the street. There is a bit of people climbing. we were there at the sunset, but I guess sunrise would look really amazing.
