liberty spring & flume slide loop. About a dozen hikers doing the loop today, half each direction, nearly all using microspikes. Crampons permitted flexibility and fun on the flume slabs.

Hiked on Sat Nov 16th. Started at 8:30 AM summited at 12:10 , got back to the car at 2:23 PM. Snow throughout the whole trail, doable with boots and Microspikes. Last mile is very strenuous and the view was amazing.

Gorgeous trail!! Great stops for picture moments. Beautiful brook that you have to cross. It is VERY steep and doesn’t stop till you get to the top. The views on the summit are 100% worth the work!! It was very busy last Sunday when my husband and I climbed it. Everyone on the summit was easy going and we all took turns taking each other’s pictures so we could all remember the day. Definitely would recommend this trail!

Easy going start, gets quite rocky and it’s a long uphill to the top. Nice tree coverage. Took about 3 hours up and camped at the Liberty spring tent site( 10 platforms). I’m guessing it took 2.5 hours down.

nice hike but the views are limited to the top.

Beautiful foliage this afternoon and clear blue skies. Wet conditions after a few rainy days, but well maintained. Very crowded due to weekend warriors and leaf peepers, but well maintained by AMC volunteers who run the Zealand hut. Many footbridges to cross streams, all in good shape. Can connect with several trails to make longer.

Definitely a hard trail- once it starts getting steep it never stops. The view from Mount Liberty it 100% worth it.

Hiked this trail early in the day with some friends. Started around 8 and reached the summit just before noon. Definitely rocky and steep in the second half but overall a nice hike.

Hiked Mt. Flume and Liberty on 9/22. Trails were dry which is needed to hike up the hard Flume ledges which are very challenging. Views at the top of both summits are amazing! You can see Lafayette and Lincoln from the summit of Liberty. Take the the Liberty trail down. Parking is free although you can donate money at a drop box at the trail head. Plenty of parking at 8:30am on a Sunday.

A steep long slog of a hike but once up on the ridge, it’s amazing how you forget all about it! I did this at the end of July and had a wonderful time:)
