Unsure why this trail has a "moderate" rating. Shortline trail was fairly simple but once you reach the optional Subway portion and then the push up King's Ravine this becomes much more difficult. Fortunately I've had a bit of experience with 5k mountains in the White's and know they can become a scramble but a newbie going off this rating could get into a bit of trouble especially hiking alone. Great hike overall though with spectacular views.

Much less demanding than the intial portions of the Air Line, but will require a quick steep push to the summit via spur trail bearing right to Durand Ridge, or up Kings Ravine Trail. Spectacular views of the ravine and ridge.
