Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway, Eliza Adams Gorge Walk is a 2.2 mile out and back trail located near Harrisville, New Hampshire and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from April until October.
A wide, well maintained trail (a part of the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway Trail) that allows two hikers to walk abreast with ease. Little elevation gain (300 ft at most). Howe dam is the start of the Liza-Adams Gorge and at that point there is a smaller trail that follows the gorge to another pond. Not a lot to see but it is a quiet and serene walk. The Spiltoir Shelter of the MSGT is on this trail as you head north from Route 101 (about 3/4 of a mile from 101). If you do the trail from Rt. 101 and add the gorge trail your distance is increased to about 3.8 miles.
Great little hike with a wide, and easy to follow path. Good, simple, in and out hike with some decent views at the gorge. Will be hiking it again!
