Nice trail, mostly well marked. Some blowdown and overgrown grasses. Not too buggy or muddy

Trail was hard to discern in the fields (needs a mowing). In spite of a moderate drought the mosquito population was robust. Other than that it was a very nice Sunday stroll in the woods.

Flat trails, not well marked, bring a map, following the river was beautiful.

Very nice trails, although more trail markers are needed. My plan is to buy some White, Blue and Yellow spray paint to add to the trail blazes on trees on the trails. It's very easy to walk off the trail that had Yellow blazes, as they are sometimes far apart. It's weird, as some trees have 1 Yellow blaze and some have 2 Yellow blazes where there are no connecting trails. (I do not understand that concept). We were on a trail that had zero blazes on it, but fortunately I have excellent skills to figure out how to find a trail that is marked. From many years of walking on even just game trails, and having a great natural sense of directions. Plenty of Sasquatch language throughout this forest, while just walking on the trails We walked about 2.4 miles and this app lost my recording of my trails I walked on. So that was annoying, but with a pedometer app, I had, I knew how for we walked. It is very possible that having my phone in my back pocket, messed up the All trails app and I might have mistakenly cleared out my recording. I will make a phone holder to attach to my belt for future use and recording. We parked at the north entrance, which is on Rte. 202 and we felt more comfortable parking there, then the entrance closer to town. As that one is in the woods, shady, but to me more sketchy. As I drive an expensive vehicle. Looking forward to go back soon, and try some different trails, as I add blazes to the trees.

Nice walk today 5/7/2020. River was lower than the last time we went so we were able to complete the whole loop. Some residual spring mud from when the river was swollen.

HikingFlooded

The trails near the river were flooded from the rain two days prior. There are many short connecting trails on the property and they are all marked with yellow blazes which was a little confusing. Some of the trail intersections had signs to tell you where the trail leads which helped some. We heard owls communicating which we thought was neat. We will try this area again when it's a bit dryer and update.

A very enjoyable experience with kid’s, parts can be muddy (that comes with the season). There is a part where a log bridge was washed way, however as long as the river isn’t flowing over the bank, you can find a spot to safely walk around. Also you’ll find parts where blown down trees cross the trail (walk around/over). Be safe and have fun!

Riber was very high and flooded the portion of the trail where three trails meet. Beautiful hike but dangerous in it's current condition as you could be walking on ice over water. the other issue is there are several intersecting trail all with the same blaze of yellow. I wish the trails we're labelled a little better. I do plan to go back though since it's gorgeous and close to home!
