Mason Rail Road Trail is a 13.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Greenville, New Hampshire that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
It’s been awhile since I last went on a trek with my mom, but it was great to be out there again with the original trailblazer. ;) Foliage hasn’t peaked, but the weather was perfect and the trail was pristine.
At Pratt Pond, you can go 2 ways. 1 trail starts at the pond and goes toward Greenville, which is the first part of the Mason Rail Trail we walked some of. Very nicely shaded, and lots of Sasquatch language to see, and I am sure there is more off the trail as well. Which we will venture onto when there are less bugs. And not so HOT.. The 2nd part of the trail we have also walked for a portion, see previous review. Thanks and enjoy yourself.
This is my neighborhood trail. Great for hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snow shoeing. No motorized wheeled vehicles allowed. Snowmobiles are, in good winter conditions. Due to a generous grant the trail has recently been upgraded. More details mikicc.wordpress.com
Decent trail on old railroad track, tracks and ties have been removed all the way to the MA line. The majority of the trail is full width with some sections that are single track. The whole trail is for the most part pretty flat. Lots of side trails with mild to wild sections on both the Greenville & Mason ends. Plenty of power line sections too. Nice quarry about 1/2 mile off the trail in Mason. Overall a nice place to go for a quick easy ride or something a little more aggressive.
