Not a bad little hike, but fairly easy. Very rocky and stair like at points. The summit is nice, but I could imagine it being busy when the auto road is open. We were able to see the Boston city skyline which is cool. We’ll be back for sure!

We don’t give 5 stars on things typically unless we are blown away & really wowed. This trail was pretty nice. Went in late March with wet snow on ground. We (wife & I) had hiking boots with ice cleats on. Trail was serene & peaceful with light traffic. Beautiful day, clear view up top with some moderate winds. Picnic tables, bathroom & a park store (all closed due to out of season) were available at the summit. Was moderate to advanced on some areas on the trail, as we are fairly new to the hiking gig but are in decent shape. The trail is switchbacked, making the ascent not too difficult to hike. Definitely recommend it!

Great easy hike, on a clear day you can actually see the tall buildings in Boston from the top of the fire tower.

Nice trail. The kids did very well and enjoyed reaching the top. If they get too tired or weather starts looking off, there is a road trail to take the family back down. Will return!

Well marked and maintained trail. Fall leaves and sections of rough angled rocks required caution for someone my age (over 70). All in all a nice experience. Nice views, Fall colors at the summit were very nice. Came down the auto road due to comments above and leg fatigue. Still pretty hard on knees.

Nice leisurely trail. Not too crowded. Scenic view at top.

A good and more casual hike compared to the alternate route on the Wapack Trail.

Much busier than the Wapack trail and thus very muddy, I used the trail as a loop to return from the summit, ascended the Wapack trail.
