A beautiful day and a bit steep in spots for myself and my son in law. I am 62 and we are both novice hikers, but definitely worth the effort once on top of the rocks. A great view of God's country. 3 1/2 hrs in and back including 30 min. on the top.

Easy and pretty way to go on the top. It took me 3 hours for the round trip.

I completed this trail as part of a loop last fall. Started & ended at Pinkham Notch. Lionshead trail up Mt. Washington-->Nelson Craig to Old Jackson Rd. to Pinkham Notch down...a really enjoyable mix of terrain!

This trail leaves the Pinkham Notch Visitors Center. It is a nice trail with steady uphill grade. It leads to the Mt. Washington Auto Road. No views from there. You need to cross the auto road and take the short hike on Madison Gulf trail to Lowe's Bald Spot. (About 5-10 minute hike from auto road) Very nice spot for lunch. You can see Mt. Washington, Mt. Adams, Mt. Madison and Wildcat on the other side. Beautiful spot to be surrounded by the mountains.
