Lower Winnipesaukee River Trail is a 6.1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Franklin, New Hampshire that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

nice easy to moderate loop..but muck surrounding pond (no swimming) and built up shelter and picnic area make a lickly party area (4 wheel drive access to) so I wouldn't recommend going there at weekend evenings!

Easy trail, great for family dogs and strollers. Interesting things to see off trail in you decide to explore a little. the only drawback was a lot of trash on the sides of the trail

I always enjoy walking this trail when I decide to take a longer lunch break at work. It's beautiful year round and the river is awesome. There are spots you can stop along the way and sit and watch the water and cool, old train tracks that more daring folks might wander out onto. Be careful, though, it is slippery at times on the tracks.
