starts up hill and has few level spots. some Rocky and rooted areas great view on top. enjoyed the hike
Beautiful reward when you get to the top. Streep at the start and end, middle is moderate. Lots of roots and rocks on the trail though.
Steep grade, some muddy spots, but well worth the effort.
nice walk pretty muddy and rocky but overall enjoyable. views were spectacular!
We hiked through all the way to Smart's Mountain, but Holt's was definitely the best part. Stay off the ranger trail when there has been a lot of rain...it is basically a riverbed! Also, be careful with dogs and keep on leash as it is a bear reserve!
Aside from having my wallet stolen from my car while hiking, enjoyable hike. Fairly short hike.
nice view at top. it's a workout but it's close and lots of parking too.
A nice little hike if you don’t want an overly strenuous experience or are limited for time, to get striking views. Still a respectable workout leading to expansive views from a dramatic, precipitous cliff.
Short, steep hike with pockets of great views at the top. Get out to hike this trail!
This hike starts out, and ends fairly steep, with a nice gradual grade in the middle. The view at the ledges was nice though access is limited due to nesting falcons.
D the same thing happenede toq
Nice hike - I ended up here on accident because in my effort to reach the trailhead for smarts mountain - I was greeted with a road closed sign due to mud. So I hiked this instead on Easter Sunday since it was there for the hiking. Relatively easy. It didn’t feel to me anything like 1.7 miles. Great view at the ledge.
hike was good. some spots a little steep. only 2 view points, thought there'd be another one on the top but wasn't. Still recommend!
Lovely, fairly easy hike. Beautiful views at the top.
Challenging in the heat but well worth it. Beautiful view!
Couldn't find the trail had this odd the second time I've tied it.
Good short hike and clearly marked. Hike slightly more difficult than expected but still a good beginner trail.
Awesome little hike!
Great hike with my son!
Easy trail but great views! Quick hike, super foliage lookout in the fall.
I've hiked this from February to November, and it's always beautiful. Bring crampons in the winter; the trails get icy.
