A lot of steep uphill. This will definitely work the legs.

Not good for running. Steep inclines with loose rocks and parts of the trail washed out.

Day after it rained - very muddy and many deep puddles and runoff streams to navigate around and over.

Tons of mosquitoes would be a problem if not running.

There is one scenic area. And my dog loved the mud. But I won't be back.

Not quite sure where the trail ends, but on this or another nearby trail that I connected to, there are sections right off the trail that have trash all over the place.

There was litter all along the trail and it had no views. Also people on ATVs dug out the trail. Not worth the time

Wouldn't call it difficult. Not a great view. Bad trail markers on the other side.

Looped: ...Hall Marsh Trail...bushwhacked to unnamed trail paralleling Ferret, then over the top back to Podunk are. Trail signs minimal; one map trail missing; some trail flooding. In short a merry adventure.

This trail is commonly referred to as "Gull Trap". My friends and I were expecting a little bit more a challenge. It was more of a nature trail than a hike. The way back had a few steep parts but overall the path was relatively easy. Takes about an hour. Good for a casual day enjoying the woods.

Decent short hike if you're just going up hall mtn. We went up over and then down the ferret trail and met up with the hall mountain marsh trail which is mainly for mountain bikes. About 6.5 miles to get back to the car.

Nice trail, a bit hard to find in some places, trail junctions not very well marked and trails on the ground din't seem to match the trail maps.
