This trail is for foot traffic only and travels along easements on private property. The area is wooded and along a brook for over half of the distance and passes a couple of beaver ponds, one is quite large with an overlook. There is plenty of wildlife and bird viewing opportunities.

There is limited parking on the Harvey Road end throughout the year. There is no place to park on the Coffeetown Road end when there is snow, parking for one or two cars at other times.

Very well marked easy trail (pink and purple blazes like every 25 feet) with views of the pond, stream, forest, and bridges during your hike. Snow wasn’t very deep (6-10”) and packed (to about 3-4”) most of the time making it easy to stay on the trail. Just follow the foot prints and you can’t get lost. Went on a Feb holiday (Presidents Day) and just ran into a few folks. There are 2 trailheads, and the one at the end of the All Trails map is actually larger and had no cars (the one on Coffeetown Road was empty). Had Yak Tracks and hiking poles and they helped get through the snow quickly, deal with a little ice here and there, and help with the many up and down portions of the trail. There isn’t much elevation gain, just a lot of small hills over the trail. You do cross the stream in a few places and are aided by either a bridge or some rocks on the water making those easy. There is a bench and a wooden sofa like chair on the trail. However the wooden sofa chair has seen better days and is pretty much ready to fall apart (along with having a tree over it ready to fall). The trail is quiet for most of the time, with some occasional car sounds as you get closer to the 2 road trailheads. Many of the trees had been visited by woodpeckers, and you could hear them in the winter woods pecking away. There is a place water has frozen over larger rocks making to a great place to take a pic. Overall a really nice hike, and worth visiting in the winter and then coming back to see what this all looks like in the summer.

Really enjoyed the trail. Some beautiful ice formations on the brook! Be careful of the icy spots.

Peaceful, beautiful trail. All we could hear were birds, the wind in the trees, and the water in the brook. Saw a porcupine just chilling up in a tree. Passed a beaver dam. Trail follows the brook for much of it, also passes boggy pond areas. Definitely some nice view spots. The pup loved it. The trail is great, good condition and lots of interesting parts. I don’t know why people have said it’s hard to follow?? Trail was easy to navigate, just follow the pinkish blazes. Of course there were bugs. Down-rating a trail based on bugs is like lowering your rating because it has snow in January. Duh, of course there are bugs! Just go enjoy this trail!

I also found the sign for the vernal pool but wasn't able to find it. Gave 3 stars because it was very buggy, with a lot of standing water and no views, just densely wooded.

Nice easy 4 mile in and out walk in the woods. Saw 2 other ppl on the trail. Has some incline on the way back but nothing difficult. There’s a sign for vernal pools we took it on the way back- was not blazed at all and just sort of ended so not recommended taking that detour.

I really enjoyed this trail. it was very well marked and I didn't need to look at a map the entire time which was awesome because I hate looking at my phone while walking on a trail. lots of cool things to see along the way. only thing is there were a lot of mosquitos out! but I'm not complaining at all, that's to be expected while being in the woods. Just don't forget to use bug spray!

Great hike today on Mother’s Day. Our first social interaction since this crisis started. A nice trail to enjoy the day on. A good amount of water for the dogs to play in. Soft trails
