Loved it. Great moderate hike. Beautiful views. Peaceful. Not crowded. Geology was remarkable.

it was a good hike and some difficult parts of the trail. we entered through fundy and found it hard to follow a route because there were pretty much no directions posted and/or mile markers. the few posted were not helpful at all actual more confusing. it was a 4 hour hike and the only bummer was we couldn't make it to the top because there were no direction.

Great hike. It was mostly flat and not very difficult until the steep climb at the end. 1hr 45min up and an 1hr 20min on the way down. Great for leaf peeping this time a year.

We wanted to go to the fire tower but wanted to add some distance so we entered the park on the Nottingham side. Didn't make it to the fire tower but got to the south ridge summit. Nice hike with some minor elevation until get to the last part of the summit where it gets steep. Good for dogs with some nice bridge crossings. No major brook crossings that didn't have bridges.

Once at the summit, approaching from this location, the trail kind of ends in a little 6' or so drop that seems like it would be difficult to return by, especially with dogs and since we always bring a dog...

We'll do this trail again and take the South Ridge Connector the next time and approach the fire tower from the other side.
