Great hike up to the pond. Took the Bennett Street trail along the brook to connect to the Flat Mountain Pond trail. Nice waterfall along the way. Crossed the brook a few times. Trail can be tricky to find when crossing the brook. Not too difficult with little climbing going this way. No problem with bugs. Nice shelter at the pond with a beautiful view of Whiteface Mountain and Flat Mountain Pond itself.

Not very well-marked and muddy in places but pleasant to walk along the brook. Not terribly crowded. Up to the pond and back down the same way is 10 miles so a little less stressful than doing the entire trail

friend and I hiked up to a area that was on the east side. The pond crystal clear water and beautiful views last weekend in April.

Not a great view. Nice places to camp! A little intense for young kids.

This is a great trail, be prepared to cross several brooks. You can go up and come back down in one day but you might want to start early.
