Dear Neck to Battery Point is a 2.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Auburn, New Hampshire that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from April until October.
2-16-2021 Very slushy. Tried to use spikes, but definitely no go. Put on snowshoes. Still not easy, but good workout. Wear Waterproof boots.
I hike, bike, xcountry ski, snowshoe there. Dog are allowed on leash. I also kayak and ice skate on the lake. Can't say enough good about the area. This is called Deer Neck, and the peninsula at the end is called Battery Point. I've seen many sail boat and ice boat races there, emanating from nearby Massabesic Yacht Club.
most trails are fire roads with some challenges .
Nice path , beautiful views. Will do Audobon trails when we have more time. We did the loop at the end which gave us close to 3 miles
Nice walk. Added loop of Audubon/Lake Massabesic trail. Note: map shows a jug-handle off the fire road, but I struggled to find a trail. Just wandered the path of least resistance through the woods and back to the trail.
Very nice quiet walk. Turn right at the end and there’s a trail to make it a loop.
