Great trail. A little icy at the top, so going down was a little tricky. A lovely, peaceful winter hike.

the area is beautiful and the trail starts out very clear, but there are very few markers and at the end it goes straight up a very rocky and steep hill. Definitely not something you would want to do in the fall, the leaves make a descent much too dangerous.

HikingGreat!Scramble

We met up with friends for a short hike at Echo Lake in the morning, but wanted to get back out in the afternoon, this time away from the crowds. Split second decision landed us (2 adults and 3 kids 8, 6 and 5) here. A little slick with the wet leaves, but the sun popped through the clouds on the way up, and things started to dry up during our trip back down. The kids enjoyed the scramble at the end and proved once again that I'm the slowest of the family. The view was great at the top, and we were excited to see we didn't completely miss the fall foliage up here. only ran into one other group, and they were super friendly and respectful. Worth checking out!

Great short hike! Beautiful views with little effort. A bit challenging with the dogs at the top.

Wet leaves made for a slippery hike. It was still pretty. We did bail on the very end due to the slippery rocks and leaves. A bit much for old bones.

HikingGreat!

Trail was a little hard to follow because of all the leaves but very nice hike. Last 400 feet or so was pretty steep and rocky but as a 59 year old couple we were able to scale it with a little hard work. Really liked view at the top was beautiful. The initial decent was difficult because of leaves and even though dry was a little slick. If it’s wet extra care would be required. All in all great hike.

A. I’m out of shape. B. This is a great hike for people who want to get back into shape. Definitely moderate. Great view from the crest and worth the effort! Trail is hard to see with the leaves down and I was happy to have the map overlays!

Hiking

Steady but easy climb until the final pitch, which is very loose under foot and steep. Go slow and steady, especially coming back down. There’s only one vista point just before reaching the top. The path actually passes the summit cairn (which may not be the true summit), for another 75m. We walked to the end, but no more unobscured views. Overall, a pleasant walk, but except for the one lookout point, it’s just another walk in the woods.

This was fun! Stopped at the top for a while to enjoy the fresh air and view; didn’t stop my recording so total tune up and back is actually pretty quick. All 500 ft of elevation come in about a quarter of the mile, which isn’t bad, but the dust is a little slick coming down. Hit this in the middle of a Sunday afternoon and ran into one other local and one group from the hotel. Prob wouldn’t be much busier any other time of day.

Nice. Short enough to fill just half the afternoon long enough to feel on a trail. The end is steep. Wouldn’t recommend if conditions are wet. View at the top is 10/10

Rain predicted early today. Wanted to get in a quick hike. Trail not marked well but mostly easy to follow the path, basically straight in and straight out. This app always helps in those questionable areas. Milo and I did this one today. Got steep 3/4 the way in and very steep to summit, too steep for me to try on wet rock. Overall nice hike close to town.

Pleasant, short hike with a couple steep inclines and a nice view if you step a few feet off the trail (to the left, you’ll see) about 85% of the way up.

HikingRockyScramble

Hardly any trail markings. When you first start you’ll see arrows pointing left, THATS NOT IT. Go right. After the steepest part you’ll see a big red oval marking on a tree to your right, you GO LEFT. It’s VERY STEEP. So glad I had my poles and still scrambled a bit. There are two small view spots on the left as you go up. The 2nd spot is after the huge rock pile marking. Best spots for lunch!! Where trail actually ends is no view.

moderate hike with a rewarding view. no clear trail markers but if you pay attention to trail path, stacked rocks, and hiking stick marks you'll be fine.

Knarly little trek tears the top with a view. Can be done in an hour. Definitely spikes in winter
