This is a scenic area with easy hiking trails that take you past a scenic pond (Dunklee Pond), several wetlands, and a few moderate hills, depending on the route you take. Locals walk their horses on some of the trails. Great Blue Heron nest in one of the wetland areas.

It should be known that this trail system is NOT the Hollis Town Forest, but rather the Spaulding Park Town Forest.

The real Hollis Town Forest is located about 2.5 miles southeast, where the northern trail head resides on NH Rt 130 (Broad Street).
