Mount Cube approach trail. "This trail provides the shortest approach to Mt. Cube. Formerly known as the South Cube Trail, it was extensively relocated in 2001-2003 to eliminate a steep and eroded section. The relocated sections are skillfully built and provide more pleasant hiking with moderate grades, good footing and two viewpoints." -Steve Smith

30 min drive from Hanover - a totally worthwhile hike that provides a great half bald top, more than 180 degree view of the surrounding landscape. A small parking lot close to the TH. A little bit muddy at the bottom but a nice continuous rise on dry trail. Get to first view in about an hour and another good 20 minute or so hitting the peak.

Although the Cross Rivendell Trail posts the mileage as 4.0 mi RT, my GPS indicated that it's 2.6 miles each way (5.2 mile RT). Lovely trail!

Pretty easy hike but I think the mileage was a bit off. Trailhead said 2.0 miles. Wound up being 7.9 out and back with a jaunt over to the north peak
