Headed to the top of Cranmore from the Blackcap trailhead off Hurricane Mountain Rd. A Leisurely shaded walk through the woods mostly, other than the summit where there was abundant sun and snack hut where we quenched our thirst with a Tuckerman Pale Ale. I am in fairly good physical condition but not an avid hiker and would rate this as easy based on the weather conditions. ( 75 degrees, sunny and dry.

Very pleasant walk in the woods. Nice view from the deck of the concession at the top. In addition to beer, ice cream is available! If I had realized that the trail shared so much of the Black Cap Path I would have tried to include that too. Later noticed there is an entry for the combined summits in Alltrails that I missed.

Fun hike. Only moderate at the beginning. What no one has mentioned is that it end at a ski hill with a restaurant. Having a beer enjoying the view right now.

Pretty gradual trail on the way to Mount Cranmore especially after taking a right at the Black Cap/ Cranmore trail junction, it felt more downhill or relatively flat. The way back you'll have to climb back up those decents.

Really enjoyed this hike. Very peaceful. Real busy however on the Black Cap Trail. Lots of people and bikes. The Cranmore Trail was a great nice walk in the woods. Beautiful view from the ski lift at the end. Great fall day for a hike.

well marked! i would actually rate this trail as “easy” ! it was much easier than black cap and black cap is rated as “easy” and this “moderate”... it is a straight shot through the woods without much if any incline! loved the summit. can’t wait until the snack shack is open! ;) my dog and I loved this trail! enjoy! *this trail is actually a 5 mile round trip. you have to hike .7 up black cap trail just to get to the cranmore trailhead which from there is 1.8 each way.*

Great hike! We didn't take the trail but instead we took the ski trails at Cranmore Base Lodge up and had a breathtaking view at the summit. Highly recommended!

Followed this trail to Black Cap Trail Summit (2369 ft) 1.1 distance from Hurrican Mountain Rd trail entrance ( which is exactly at the 3.8 mile mark on Hurricane Mtn rd from Rte 16 in N. Conway). Great views- flat rocks at top for taking in the view and perhaps a snack.
