Not a very interesting trail. Limited view at the top because of trees.

Nice trail - would describe as moderately difficult due to some steep sections with rock and gravel. We hiked the day after a heavy rain, so coming back down it was especially important to be careful - and we had 2 people with osteopenia. Doable with good sneakers or hiking boots. Initial part of trail was buggy, but once out of the flat old quarry trail the bugs weren’t noticeable. The view of at very top was worth the 25 minute climb, but if you only have time for 1 hike near Holderness/Squam the views from the top of West Rattlesnake cannot be beat.

very steep.. not "easy" for anyone that's looking for it to be easy.. I have hiked this several times and although it's a short hike up and back, its steepness makes it more difficult. Not to be compared with West rattlesnake just up the road. I usually head from cotton mountain to Livermore and then out Old mountain rd to make it a loop which is fantastic and makes it about 4.5 miles.

Great trail... ended up turning this into a loop by heading up to the summit of my Livermore and back over on old highway. That side was much flatter and great for the descent as the cotton mountain trail is extremely steep.

Great trail if you are new to hiking looking for a good work out. I hiked up to the top and then kept following the yellow signs to another great view then back. 5 miles In total. Pretty steep in some parts so recommend bringing sticks but do able if you don’t have them. Today’s weather was perfect too! Great trail

Easy hike! Got up in 15 min. Good for sunrise, but not for sunset. Small look-out point and kind of overgrown. Other than that is was a fast and relatively easy hike with my doggo!!

Short hike, took us 30 mins up with multiple stops. I would still classify it as hard because it becomes incredibly steep. The view is decent and the trail is well marked

Easy in terms of length but packed a punch in intensity, would rate this hard if it was longer. The view isn’t as spectacular as west rattlesnake and the leaf covering is very slippery. Would not recommend doing this with anything but decent hiking boots.

Very buggy and steep. Going down with lots of leaves on the trail was trying, for lack of a better word! Nice short hike though.

Nice short hike, yes, steep like they all say. Hiked on a cloudy day after all the rains and with the fallen leaves it was interesting at times due to the incline. Instead of coming back down it, I went on over to Livermore and took the Prescott trail down to the old road. Nice way to make this into a loop hike.

This was an ok hike. It seemed more moderate than easy... yes its kind of a short trail but the majority of the trail is steep! Still doable with a baby on your back but slow and steady for sure. View was nice at top but only a small clearing to see it.
