We were looking for an easy hike with water and that's not what we got. Parked at marked location and started hike on same side as parking. Realized quickly we were on the wrong side because there was a lot of elevation change. Walked back to parking and went in on the other side (where the big sign is). About 800 feet in came to the Cooks Pond Loop sign (odd placement, but okay). Stayed on Cooks Pond Loop (at least we think we did) and didn't find access to any water. We could see it through the trees at a few points, but that was all. So, it's a nice rolling hike with lots of small elevation change. We saw a lot of little frogs. It was clean and lightly traveled. It just wasn't what we were looking for.
