this was our first real trail hike. lots of UP! trek poles so helpful, back pack with water and maybe a snack is a must, and proper shoes. it's a great and definitely not novice out and back. we loved it.

I love this trail! 2nd time doing it, yes I agree it is time to mark the trail better! The falls were really moving today after last nights rain went on 7/12/19! Remember the earlier you get there the better, parking lot fills up fast $5 parking fee unless you buy the trail pass for $30 which is good for a year!

Falls were beautiful and worth the rocky uphill hike. Trail could be marked a bit more clearly

The trail was not very well marked, just a heads up. The falls were beautiful. Bring bug spray.

Great family hike! Hubby and I wore child carriers (kids are 3&4)...they could’ve walked but we wanted a workout. The kids loved exploring the falls and climbing on some boulders. It was crowded, but everyone was pleasant and respectful. The parking lot was full (4th of July)...lots of cars were parked along the road.

Pleasant hike along stream to waterfalls. Steeper towards the top. Did not find Pitcher Falls that the AMC guide books say is near Champney Falls. Last of the pink lady slippers in bloom towards the bottom of the trail.

Beautiful hike! I agree with previous comment that there could be more blazes (and some fresh paint), falls and view from top were fantastic.

Loved the trail and ended up continuing to Mount Chocorua which was totally worth it! Ended up loosing my engagement ring on the trail so that was a big bummer!

It's been a wet June so far, however the trail was fine with only a few mucky spots. And not very buggy (yet). The dampness and an overnight rain did mean the upper rock slabs were a bit slippery. Since school is still in session this normally busy trail was quiet. Overall an easy, short and enjoyable hike.

Yellow blazes spaced a little far apart for our liking but the falls were with the effort

Walked by the road around the river at the beginning as it was running too heavy to cross. No other issues, great hike and the falls were gorgeous!

Champney in the winter was great. Enjoyed seeing ice climbers at the falls and crossing the river over ice bridges. My dog had a blast!

I have been here a few times and love it. Easy hike with a fabulous, unique waterfall. If you stick your head under the skinny falls you'll have a memorable experience, (ask my husband!).

This was a fun hike, trails are well maintained and blazed, until you get about 200 yards from the summit and the blazes are on rock and rather hard to find but makes for a fun climb. would rate it as moderate.
