Stay on right of this loop for an in and out and it’s a perfect trail run. However if you don’t do the loop you don’t get the beautiful river walk. Easy walk on a gorgeous fall day. Marsh had loads of mallards. Pond at start a gaggle of Canadian geese.

HikingGreat!

We did the whole loop, accidentally stopped my recording ! The walk along the river is beautiful! I can’t imagine what it looks like when there is actually water in it! Pretty easy as it states. Someone left a poppy diaper on the trail, just disgusted!

This trail is okay. It’s not well used which is great. There was a tree blocking the trail just before a house with barking dogs. The River was dry and loaded with rocks. Overall a good quiet walk.

Very easy to get lost. Tons of spider webs on the trail. Need a stick to avoid them. The stream is beautiful although there is not much water.

My wife and I went on this trail today 7/3/20 arrived at 10:30 am at the Rte. 123 parking lot. Just big enough for maybe 5 vehicle's, there was 1 other vehicle when we arrived. We downloadthe trail from All trails, good thing we did as there are a few branches off the main trail. We were looking for the Woodland Creatures Wood Art and found plenty to keep me excited as I videoed and photographed plenty of creative sights. When we arrived there was a sligh tmist happening, but not enough to deter the 2 of us. We sprayed for bugs and had mosquito head nets just in case, I put mine on about 100 yards to the parking lot, on our return trip. The trail by the stream was wet and a little slippery, but not too bad and the sounds from the stream was enjoyable. We heard plenty of birds and this was our longest walk so far, as we have been on others, but forgot to record them.

Nice forested areas and wide paths, beautiful river with a fun lightly challenging path right next to it. Bugs were a nuisance despite bug spray but overall a nice quick hike.

Found the trail easy to follow with a map. Very scenic along the stream, in which our Labrador cooled off. Will come here again.

This has been the best trail we’ve found in the Peterborough area. The only negative we have is the markings are terrible. When you start out go to the left so you can follow the river/stream on the way back. (There is one point a little over halfway where you can go upish to the right or downish to the left. Go left. I don’t understand why this can’t be marked, it would literally take 15 seconds to make an adequate sign). There are parts of the trail where you are walking basically in the rocks of the river and it’s really great.

It's a beautiful area but it isn't marked so we ended up way off trail several times. Maybe track yourself if you're on a bike to make sure you stay on the right trail.

Great for a beginner mountain biker! Just make sure you don’t cross the river and follow the path! That brought us way off track. The trail that goes along the river is not rideable so expect to be walking your bike on this part. However there are awesome little waterfalls and a pool to sit in on a hot day. We saw no people which was awesome! The dog loved it too. No trailhead sign so look for the blue tree markers.

Very nice; my dog and I both enjoyed it. A little confusing without marked trails but a nice pond near the trailhead and lots of stone walls and a stone causeway over running water. As we returned to the trailhead a flock of geese landed on the pond. What a treat!
