HikingGreat!

The trail is a very pretty trail. Quick and easy with a lot of flat walking. Saw lots of runners and soon realized why, the hike up was very quick - less than an hour. There were views here and there at lookout spots, but the peaks are hidden in the woods. Went with a friend and we didn’t even realize we had reached Holts peak if I didn’t look closely to notice a wooden sign off trail. Overall, I’ve done prettier, but this was still enjoyable. However, don’t waste your time to go further towards Beebe Trail. It’s not pretty and really soured our moods for the hike back.

Quick climb up the Sharon ledges with great views, we could see Boston from the topmost lookout. Well marked trail with some nice up and downs to go from peak to peak, great view of Mount Monadnock after Burton peak.

Very good car shuttle hike. About 5 miles with sidebars to outlooks. Route is from Sharon Ledges to Temple parking lot or reverse. Includes Burton and Holt Peaks. A number of beautiful overlooks.

This recording is only the second half of trip. I didn’t record the trip out on the same trail.

Views mostly non-existent, and the peaks aren't particularly scenic or noteworthy. A couple okay overlooks. very few on trail

Nice hike. Typically we do 45 min /miles on 4000’s today slightly over 31 min/miles. Finished a bit over 3 hours. Mostly in the shade, rocky, roots. Very pretty. Some “ overlooks.” Not many people, 7 total. Smaller parking lot, 7-8 cars total. Stepped in dog crap walking to car on way home. Moderate hike. Bugs fine with bug spray.

A nice hike, I would rate it easy rather than moderate. Took it easy, enjoyed the overlooks. The peaks weren't impressive, rather outlooks 1&2 to the east had views of Boston and outlooks 3&4 had views of Monadnock. It rained last night so there was a bit of mud, but I never swamped a boot. Trail was well-marked, pretty rocky, clear and easy to follow.

Don't miss the views on the outlooks on the way since there is no view at the summit of Holt. First 2 outlooks are views East of Boston, second 2 are West of Monadnock. Little rocky on the trail, no mud. Little buggy if you stood still, but we picked a spectacular 57 degree day with 12 mph winds.

Four stars because there weren’t many views. However the views there were were great. Especially the couple on the west side of the trail which showed Monadnock - amazing views. Mostly through forest and the north end of the trail is basically a road which is sort of boring; but the south end of the trail is better. Done April 25, 2020
