Hiked on 2019-12-22. Easy hike on packed snow. Dog and children friendly. Some people hiked up without microspikes or hiking poles. Frozen water fall was spectacular. Found Bette Davis plaque on the way.

beautiful winter scenery. Easy hike, not sure why rated as moderate difficulty. perfect hike for someone who hasn't hiked in a while but in average shape. not very steep. only few brooks to cross but they were very feasible. Gorgeous winter foliage.

Hiked this trail on 12/3/19. Fresh snow had fallen and it was snowing lightly when I arrived. You hike about .6miles until you see the trailhead sign to the Falls. Since there was quite a few inches of snow I used my poles to guide the way but it was a very doable hike. The Falls were stunning - mostly ice at this point but there was still water flowing. Beautiful, peaceful and quiet - I would love to come back and do this hike again in the summer.

Bridal Veil Falls, Franconia NH; This was a great hike for us-a couple of folks who don’t exercise enough & wanted a pretty climb but not a torture session! A nice gradual incline with a combo of smooth pathways & a few rocky areas. Follows a stream most of the way, which provides lots of pretty photo ops. The waterfall at the top is a beautiful reward! We took our time & spent about 3 ish hours here.

Great trail for a cloudy day! Other reviews indicated there was not much parking but on the day I hiked there were close to 20 cars - most parallel parked on the right side along Coppermine road just off Easton. Trail is well maintained and follows the river for much of the hike. Footing is pretty good through out. The climb is steady and never gets too steep. I finished the out and back in 2 hours, including a 15-20 minute rest at the falls. If you’re going with a group or want to stop and enjoy the many scenic views of the river on the climb up, I would plan for 3 hours round trip but YMMV.

Probably one of the most beautiful falls/trails in the White mountain area... usually, all the main trail are to the East of highway 93, but this one is on the other side about 20 minutes from Basin falls. For the first half a mile, you walk through dense Birch trees (at the right time you're surrounded by Golden yellow leaves!), and then you can hear the brook almost throughout the hike! Once you get close to the falls, there is a wooden bridge (the falls is 0.2M from the bridge). However, beyond that bridge, the trail is not well developed... you have to scramble through rocks and your feet will get wet as you may have to wade through water to the falls... you COULD scramble more, from the base of the falls to a serene pond at the top... Watch your foot! I saw an elderly couple lose their step and fall completely on the rocks, but fortunately there was not much water... there is very little foot traffic, so you may have the place all to yourself.

Fun hike. I found that the trail wasn’t challenging but a moderate rating seems fair. This trail does not offer many scenic lookouts but the waterfall is definitely worth it. I’d recommend taking this trail on a cloudy or foggy day. Enjoy!

Beautiful trail- it’s longer than 2.5 mile because its a bit of a walk until you actually get on the trail. I would venture to say its more like 3 miles each way. Fairly easy climb, except for a few rocky spots, but it is long. Did this with little ones and it was great. The falls at the top are really nice-hard scramble up to the top once u see the falls- but definitely worth it!

This trail is particularly beautiful as you’re walking- the incline isn’t bad, and you’re walking next to a river pretty much the whole time. The waterfall at the end is also worth it! Great trail to end the weekend on after you’ve done more intense inclines. Not too crowded, great water access, dog friendly!

From the parking lot to the trail head it’s a little bit of a walk but from there it’s about 2.5 miles to the falls and when I went, there was enough of a pool at the top to swim a bit and cool off! It wasn’t too busy on the trail or at the top. Dogs are welcome too!
