An easy family hike through Blue Job Mt State Forest. A variety of terrain - granite, blueberry fields, pine and hardwood forestlands with good examples of plant succession. Carry in - carry out (no trash facilities) please do not leave bagged dog doo or trash behind! Use increases on weekends.

I did this trail to be at peace, by before other died the day before and I was being nudged to get out. He loved being outdoors as well so do I, so I saw this trail on the app and set out. The best part for me was the pond, it had trees with lots of color surrounding it and made for a great picture. There is also a fire station at the summit, you can climb and get awesome views and pictures of the valley below.

Lovely trail with kiddo friendly bouldering. Was a little longer - closer to 1.5. Super buggy already at the start of June.

Bring lots or bug spray! The bugs up there kinda ruined the enjoyment of the hike. Mosquitos and Black flies. Also picked three (3) ticks off me throughout the hike. I have done over 95 hikes in the past year. This was the buggiest one I've done so far.

Bugs Bugs and Bugs. The view is nice from the top of he Fire tower, but the Fire tower is in rough shape. My son enjoyed reading the graffiti which I did not like.

Great hike for children just getting started. Don’t be alarmed by the house being built at the basin. The mountain is privately owned. The owner is pleasant. The trail has changed a bit due to the house being built but it’s still a great little hike. Also a lot of trees were taken out to create some under brush. This was due to the population of rabbits and owls. The owner is working at maintaining the rare rabbit species on the mountain.

Great day even in the fog it’s a good trail to start out on.

Took the steeper trail up counter clockwise with two small kids. Fire tower could use some new wire mesh on the top landing. Mind the signs for the house construction going on!

I grew up hiking this mountain at least every year, now I take my son up here at least a few times in the summer. He’s 8 now and we’ve been doing this since he was about 2, I had a kid carrier backpack for when he got pooped out, now he practically runs up the whole thing. The blueberries were amazing on little blue job yesterday, we picked huckleberries and raspberries too! This is a very accessible little hike for families with amazing views and on a clear day you can see Mt Washington.

Very easy hike to the top, and once you get to the fire tower the views are great, 360 degree view and a great spot to watch a sunrise or sunset!

For a short hike it's perfect - not too long and just enough interesting incline changes. The view could be a bit obstructed, but there's also a certain charm in spying glimpses of the surrounding area through the trees. In any case, the fire tower gives more than enough viewing opportunities.

Very good trail if you just want a quick hike, with pretty decent views of the surrounding area and other mountains as a reward :) Only negative thing I might have to say that is of no fault of the mountain's... there was lots of poop on the trail. Lots and lots of poop. During our hike we ran into four friendly dogs, which is always nice to see. It's a shame dog owners can't clean up after them.

Easy short, almost too short little hike. Decent views up top, not busy at all in winter. My dog loved it!
