Scan the code for the trail map at the beginning of the trail. Posted paper maps do not reflect updates on trails. White trail is different. That being said, we chose the yellow Elwell trail to Little Sugarloaf. The view was beautiful of the Lake. Room to hang out on the rocks. We continued and took in the vista loop and hiked to Big Sugar Loaf. The incline is gradual and quite steep in some places. The yellow blaze is well marked all the up. The vista is amazing, gorgeous. We continued and took the blue trail down. The blazes do not stand out so look with care. The trail is overgrown in places and muddy but doable and interesting. We took the very steep white trail back to the summit of Large Sugar Loaf, quite challenging, but fun. Headed back down on the orange trail to tranquil Goose Pond, very sirene and easy path. Total about 5.3 miles, 3 hours with plenty of rest stops.
